A CiteTrust Score is a 0–100 rating of how easily AI search engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini can find, read, and cite your website. It evaluates 10 signals across SEO, AEO, and AI optimisation.

The free checker evaluates 10 checks: robots meta tag, meta description, Open Graph tags, rich snippet schema, AI crawler access, llms.txt, AI bot meta tags, content readability, answer-first summary, and citation signals.

Yes. The CiteTrust free checker gives you an instant AI-readiness score with no signup required. CiteTrust Pro offers a deeper 40-check audit for £19 per URL.

AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation) is the practice of structuring your content so AI search engines can extract and cite it as a direct answer. As ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini replace traditional search results, AEO determines whether your site gets cited or skipped.

The free checker runs 6 preview checks from a 10-check scan and gives you an overall CiteTrust Score. CiteTrust Pro runs all 40 checks across 10 categories, with prioritised fix recommendations, a projected score after fixes, and a downloadable PDF report, for a one-time £19 payment.
